Alafaya Village Announces 23,000 Square Feet In New Leases
Mainsail Development Group, LLC, announces today the signing of 5 new leases at Alafaya Village that total more than 23,000 square feet. Mainsail acts as the exclusive leasing and managing agent for Alafaya Village, a 51,000 square foot office / retail park on South Alafaya Trail in east Orlando.

Blaine Strickland, Partner with Mainsail, stated “These new tenants are very exciting additions to our park. With their arrival, the village is now more than 82% leased and has caused us to start our sixth (and final) building as soon as possible.”

The new leases at Alafaya Village include:

Lifesong, a United Methodist Church: 8,909 square feet – opening in June; represented by David Chapin of Grubb & Ellis.
Advanced Dermatology (medical offices): 3,039 square feet – opening in May; represented by Laura Malone of Staubach.
Discovery Zone Pre-School: 4,801 square feet – opening in September.
Chutes & Lazers (a child’s gym and laser tag center): 5,580 square feet – opening in September
Academic Achievers (tutoring): 1,375 square feet – now open

Additionally, Sunflower Chinese Kitchen and Fontana’s Pizzeria are now open in the village.

Mike Byrum and Tim Lyons serve as the leasing agents for the park. Rental rates for the tenant spaces currently range from $28 - $30 per square foot, which are exclusive of common area charges. This is the third project for Mainsail in east Orlando. The company has just broken ground on its newest project, Stoneybrook Marketplace (www.stoneybrookmarketplace.com), a 35,000 square foot retail plaza located ¼ mile north of Alafaya Village.
